McCain "Love" Ad VS. His Divorce

McCain's Ad "Love" shows hippies kissing and him in Vietnam. The theme being his love of country has always come before self love.

How does his divorce fit this claim of continual sacrifice and self service?

Today an article was published about his divorce with an interview with his x-wife, Carol.

I would vote for the man in the ad: "...a man who has always put his country and her people before self..."

But was his divorce for the good of the country and her people?

From 'The Daily Mail'
His ex wife Carol says:
" `My marriage ended because John McCain didn't want to be 40, he wanted to be 25.'

Some of McCain's acquaintances ...portray the politician as a self-centred womaniser ...

Bad route... (2.00 / 5)

I don't think attacking a canidate based on a divorce or martial problems is the correct route, nor the route that Senator Obama would wish to take.  If I was correct, the last President we had that had martial issues also happened to be a pretty damn good one, so it can be easily turned around.

In this election, there's much more that we can attack Senator McCain on besides failed past relationships, no matter his reasoning for them ending.

I could not agree more.

He was warmly received by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who called him "a leader that God has blessed us with at this time."

Yup.

Stay MILES away from this, it screams Republic attack politics to go there.

Good for all you. Thanks for the feedback. I thought it was fair just in the context of this completely over the top ad's claim:
"...a man who has always put his country and her people before self..."
But I agree with the points made, thanks for taking the time.

I think it's more problematic WHAT HE BELIEVES is good for the country.

I accept that he cares - but I thoroughly disagree about what he wants to do.

Also, I find it curious how the MSM has ignored that he is using a campaign slogan from the British Conservative Party of 30 years ago.

Can you imagine the uproar if Obama was doing something like that?

We care about politics because we know politics matters for people's lives and opportunities.

yeah, not really concerned about the divorce issues, more concerned with the fact that his policies represent another 4 years of pilfering our country and graphically sodomizing our well being
